     Officers, Board & Committees

The governing unit for City Club of Tacoma is a seventeen member Board of Directors elected by the membership.  Officers of the club are elected by the board. Committees plan and support the activities of the club.

The administrator of City Club is Linda Pearn (email: [email protected]).

The standing committees plan and implement the various activities of City Club of Tacoma. Member are encouraged to become involved in one of the committees but participation is not required.  The committees and their functions are the following:

  • Program Committee,  2005-2006 chair Sue Schaeffer (572-7717).   Plans the twice monthly Wednesday programs and the Wednesday noon roundtable discussions. (email: [email protected])
     
  • Communications Committee, 2005-2006 chair Nina Rook (759-4152). Responsible for developing and implementing a local and intra-club communications strategy, including media relations, promotional efforts, and website and newsletter production. (email: [email protected])
  • Membership Committee, 2005-2006 chair Len Ganduglia (472-2523; 229-6924 cell ). Organizes strategies for attracting and orienting new members and retaining current members. (email: [email protected]
     
  • Community Studies Committee, 2005-2006 chair Sharon Golightly(219-1875). Proposes potential issues for study and oversees study groups on community study projects. (email: [email protected])

  • Emerging Leader Committee, 2005-2006 chair  Patricia Tobiason (798-5903). This special projects committee is responsible for publicizing, collecting nominations for, and selecting the recipient of the Dennis Seinfeld Leadership Award, an annual presentation made to recognize a community member for their leadership potential and to further that individual's development in the community.  (email: [email protected])
