The mission of City Club of Tacoma is to provide
the Tacoma/Pierce County community the opportunity
to learn about current issues of civic concern,
to provide a common meeting ground for the exchange of ideas,
and to encourage related citizen involvement.
(Click for a brief
History of the Club).
Activities of the club include a dinner meeting on the first Wednesday
of each month and a luncheon meeting on the third Wednesday of the month,
each with a guest speaker and stimulating program. On the second and
fourth Wednesdays, roundtable discussions are held. In
addition, a monthly newsletter is published and
in-depth research studies of local issues are ongoing.
Membership is open to all persons and guests are
welcome to attend club programs.
A yearly membership entitles an individual to receive
monthly issues of the newsletter Currents, attend
all programs, join a research study team or any of the standing committees, receive published research reports,
receive an annual membership directory and vote in City Club
elections. New members are invited to an annual new member
reception. Further membership information is available on
the How to Join
page or from the City Club of Tacoma
office: (253) 272-9561.
Corporate memberships are also available for three,
four or five persons.
These are either designated memberships with full benefits
or undesignated memberships which allow the firm to choose
who attends each program. This policy provides flexibility
for businesses and organizations. The costs for these are
available on the
How to Join pages. Further information can also
be obtained from the City Club of Tacoma office.
We encourage you to take advantage of these
options and
join us in membership.
