On October 7, 2009 more than 200 City Club and community members came together to celebrate 25 years of civic engagement...
"Thanks
to you, the committee, the board, the Washington State History Museum for a
wonderful and memorable 25th Anniversary City Club Event.
Everything
was enjoyable -- location, good food, marvelous entertainment, and all the
wonderful slides and comments of club history and origin.
I also
appreciated the 25 community awards that were given. Great
evening."

The Ringleader
"Ringleader
Doug Mackey and the kids took the crowd on a musical journey through Tacomas' dark
side.
They reworked famous Beatles songs changing the lyrics to poke fun at the
Luzon building,
Frank Russell, The spire, Tollefson Plaza, Bicentennial Pavilion, downtown
condos, LeMay Car Museum, Rep. Norm
Dicks, potholes, and unfortunately for Tacoma, many more.
It
was the funniest roast of Tacoma I have seen. "
