| . The City Club's 15th anniversary gala celebration was held on
Saturday, September 18 at The Dock. Past President Steve Smith acted as emcee with
TV funnyman Ross Shafer as featured performer. Other entertainers included The
Fabulous Road Stars, Treble Makers Barbershop, and magician Kirk Charles. Gala
attendees also caught glimpses of Marilyn, Elvis and Groucho! The Dock was decorated to
represent historic Tacoma with many guests dressed in formal or historic period
attire. With excellent food, wine and company, the 15th anniversary celebration was a
not-to-be-missed event of 1999.Advanced TelCom
Group, the "new telephone company in town", was the lead gala
corporate sponsor of the event.
